EV-DO Rev A available now
Innovative Solutions has been taking orders for the new EV-DO Rev A cards since September 06.
Here is more information by mobileburn.com:
The upgrade from the Rev 0 version of EV-DO currently offered by both Sprint and Verizon will allow for greater download speeds (3.1Mbps vs. 2.0Mbps) as well as, and probably more significantly, far greater upload speeds. The current EV-DO offerings are limited in uplink speed to 144Kbps, with averages coming in between 70 and 144Kbps. The Rev A network will be capable of uplink speeds as high as 1.8Mbps, though average speeds will likely come in at around 300 to 400Kbps. This translates conservatively to a 4x speed increase for the uploading of files and opens the door for applications such as video conferencing.
